Summary of Job Duties
(Note: This summary will be used for keyword search) The Executive Assistant reports directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) of Housing, Dining & Auxiliary Enterprises (HDAE), and provides confidential executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. This position serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the AVC, and serves as a member of the management team for HDAE.

The Executive Assistant is responsible for all fiscal and office operations for the AVC's Office. The Executive Assistant provides research, analysis, advice, and recommendations to the AVC in all areas under their management and on the many issues and concerns that fall on their desk. The responsibilities are as varied as the broad range of issues that may reach the AVC from campus departments, students, parents of students, faculty, staff, customers, Office of the Vice Chancellor-Administrative Services, Office of the President, professional associations, or community agencies. The Executive Assistant provides management and resolution of those issues, forwarding to the Associate Vice Chancellor only those issues that have the highest HDAE and institutional priority. The Executive Assistant works independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical and communication skills required. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated ability in working constructively with an ethnically diverse and culturally pluralistic student body and staff. High level of computer proficiency and knowledge for presentation purposes. This position requires broad knowledge the HDAE portfolio and UC policies and procedures, superb verbal and written communication skills, and the capacity to organize, independently prioritize, and manage a wide variety of responsibilities and projects accurately and consistently, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality, initiative, independence and judgment. Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Desirable Requirements
Experience in a university campus-based service delivery program is preferred.
