Excellent opportunity for an experienced Executive Chef to join the Sodexo Health Care Food Service Team at Northwest Texas Health in Amarillo, Texas - a growing community within the Texas Panhandle. This Acute Care facility has annual patient days over 88,000. A large behavioral health hospital is connected. A Café and Retail Food renovation planned with anticipated sales of $1.7 Million annually. Sodexos At Your Request Room Service (AYR) is to be implemented with a focus on quality of food and service. Will be utilizing Sodexos Food Management System tools and processes. A solid culinary background, knowledge of regulatory agency standards and compliance is expected in this role. Demonstrated experience with financial operating budget expense management and revenue enhancements are expected. The successful candidate will be a strong team leader, results-focused with creative culinary talents and attention to details. Ability to train, develop, coach, and manage with accountability of food service staff is critical to the overall success of the Food Service Department. Position Summary Designs, supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel in a medium to large account. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account. Selects and develops recipes and other items for clients. Develops menu, implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food, establishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new chefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer solutions, may train other chefs outside account. May cook selected items, and plan or price menus. Typically has chefs and cooks reporting to this position. Qualifications & Requirements Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree Basic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. Sodexo is an EEO/AA/Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer.
