TITLE:Executive Director, Converged Services
LOCATION:Atlanta, GA
REPORTS TO:Vice President, Converged Services and User Experience Design

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
As the Executive Director of shared services for Cox Communications, this individual is responsible for the strategic direction, business planning and life cycle management of Cox's converged services. These converged services will initially include Cox's Mobile Connect product offering, additional video outlet to tablet devices such as I-pad and android devices and Cox's home security offering. This individual will lead a growing team of Product Directors within the shared services area to drive revenues, product penetration and ensuring the timely evolution of these converged services to engage and enhance the Cox customer experience. In addition, she/he will also be successful at delivering, managing, in partnership with Technology and Operations, shared services that are consumed across the various lines of business such as parental controls, identity management and recommendation engine. She/he will drive the internal vision and will own the execution and delivery of these services as well as the profitability goals of the organization.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead our internal process to define and deliver converged and shared services strategy, roadmap and priorities.
Primary accountability for the life-cycle management of all converged and shared services.
Accountable for ensuring contribution margin goals are met through continued product evolution and cost basis management.
Owns all shared services environments such as parental controls, recommendation engine and customer identity management.
Works collaboratively and cross-functionally to gather and develop business, functional and technical requirements.
Partner with finance and materials management in the outlining and understanding of total cost of ownership and contract negotiations.
Owns the annual budget of all converged and shared services.
Accountable for partnering with Technology and Operations to ensure the deployment of highly reliable and scalable shared and converged services.
Works collaboratively with adjacent growth team and lines of business to ensure smooth product transitions.

11. Conducts on-going technology and business assessments of competitive landscape.
12. Be thoroughly immersed in the Cox brand, what it means to the company and to Customers, and how it comes to life in service interfaces.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree required. MBA or other Master's strongly preferred.
10+ years in product management and/or product development.
Experience in Agile development methodologies and six sigma processes.
Acute understanding of technology in a shared services environment.
Experience in deploying and managing identity related services as well as parental controls and customer recommendation engines a must.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of product life cycle management in complex technology environments
Strong executive presence.
Ability to gain credibility through leading by influencing across the organization.
Must a have demonstrated track record of making informed business and technology trade-offs.

11. Experience in managing small high-performing teams.
12. Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work across a wide-range of business and technology issues.
13. Superb written and oral communication skills.
14. Proven track record in the ability to bring new services to market, understand their impacts and appropriately lifecycle manage to sunset.
15. Experience in operating and managing applications and services within a high-tech product environment preferably in the entertainment and communications sectors.
16. Strong financial and business acumen
17. Experience and passion for collaborating and consulting with cross-functional groups in a Fortune-500 environment.
