Position Summary
The Executive Director, UCOP Budget and Financial Analysis, reports to the Executive Director, UCOP Operations. UCOP Operations is a newly formed unit and this role will be a critical part of the senior leadership team assisting the ED of UCOP Operations in transforming the organization and its capabilities to deliver timely, accurate and actionable budget and financial analysis information and needed services to the Office of the President.

The Executive Director, UCOP Budget and Financial Analysis, is responsible for leading the budget and analysis function at UCOP in delivering a high and consistent level of service to UCOP. You will be charged with ensuring that the local budget and analysis operations infrastructure is in place to support UCOP's strategic objectives. The Executive Director is also responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing financial concepts for budget planning, resource planning, forecasting, and control of the UCOP-wide organizational budget. UCOP's annual budget is approximately $650 million, about half of which is centrally administered for direct operations.

The UCOP Budget and Financial Analysis Office manages the annual development of and longer term planning for the UC Office of the President overall budget. The office coordinates with system-wide Budget Analysis and Planning, a separate unit that interfaces with each campus and this office for the UCOP budget. UCOP Budget and Financial Analysis creates and delivers insightful financial analysis and forecasting to support UCOP management in making effective and strategic funding, financial, and operational decisions in a timely manner.
