br BASIC FUNCTION:
br Under general direction, manages the housekeeping and laundry services of the hotel in a manner which will maintain high standards of service and hospitality consistent with the policies and procedures set forth by Drury Inns, Inc., and the management of the hotels. To plan, organize, motivate and control the housekeeping functions necessary to provide our guests with top-quality, clean accommodations.
br JOB DUTIES:
br * Trains and motivates Housekeeping and Laundry personnel to ensure efficient, safe operations and to maintain an atmosphere of hospitality for our guests.
br * Implements new procedures and policies in adherence to Drury Inns, Inc. policies and procedures; monitors, evaluates and reports effectiveness of these policies and procedures to the General Manager.
br * Schedules personnel to provide timely service in the hotel; ensures that all employees are present for work and staffing is complete; approves time cards; approves vacation time and other excused time off.
br * Conducts monthly inventory of linen, supplies and equipment; orders and controls inventory of linen, terry and supplies in accordance with company policy.
br * Recommends operational changes to the General Manager which would improve services or efficiency of performance.
br * Operates housekeeping and laundry services within the budget constraints.
br * Inspects property daily to monitor performance of cleaning, laundry, maintenance and security duties by Housekeeping and Maintenance personnel to ensure adherence to quality of service standards.
br * Conducts employee performance evaluations and recommends wage adjustments.
br * Compiles and reports accurate status of guest rooms to Guest Service Agents.
br * Performs guest room housekeeping duties, laundry functions, and cleans public areas as needed.
br * Maintains security necessary for protection of guests, guests property and company assets; i.e., controls department and Housekeepers keys.
br * Reports out-of-order rooms to Maintenance and assists with follow-up to ensure that problems are corrected.
br * Develops and implements department SafetySecurity Program which will afford maximum protection of employees, guests and the hotel.
br * Performs other duties as assigned by management.
