Assistants at our Chicago location who are passionate, self-motivated and committed to get it right
for our guests - every time!
What would I be doing?
As an experience assistant, you'd be the face of our business and the
first one to greet our guests and assist them in having the best work day ever. Under the supervision
of the Center Manager and the Lead Experience Assistant, on a day-to-day basis this includes:
* working with the onsite contacts and guests to ensure a smooth session
* preparing and displaying food from caterers, pantry upkeep, dish washing
* maintaining studio space, setting up room configuration and help with technology and IT
* complying with our protocols and providing general information about building operations
and services offered
* being a Workspring brand ambassador, helping and focusing on the needs of our guests.

In addition to the experience assistant responsibilities
outlined above, Workspring also offers paid internship positions. This paid internship receives
all the benefits afforded to Steelcase interns including professional mentorship opportunities and
additional training and leadership courses (as agreed with your manager). The Experience Team
Intern will work closely with our management team to identify an area Workspring can assist them
in developing. With supervision and support, the intern will devise a project to plan and complete
by the conclusion of their internship that will help to build their skill and experience in their desired
area and also create a lasting impact on Workspring's business and operations.
What type of person is successful?
The right person for this role is confident, curious and high energy. Someone who enjoys being in a fast-paced environment all day, and can confidently explain ideas and processes, obtain feedback, help guests understand the interesting and intentional features of the space. You'll have a natural creativity, and ability to observe customer interactions to help the leadership and broader team see patterns and make recommendations to continuously improve the experience.
This internship is based in Chicago and is part time during the school year.
You'll need to have at least two or more years of guest-facing experience,and a college-level education (we'll consider all majors).
