Export Compliance ManagerSome notes from the hiring manager include:* Has served as an Empowered Official* Has experience writing and drafting Technical Assistant Agreements (have actually been a part of the process not someone who has managed others doing it)* Has the ability and or experience of managing others* Has been a part of Export Control reform (soft requirement)* Leading in Merger and Acquisition for ExportSummaryThe Export Compliance Manager will manage the company?s expanding regulatory compliance and contractual obligations in the Aerospace and Defense line of business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success managing export compliance in an Aerospace and Defense environment and have extensive knowledge of the International in Arms Regulations as well as the Export Administration Regulations, and excellent communication skills. The Export Compliance Manager will proactively handle export compliance matters as assigned by the Director of Import/Export. Will interact with employees at all levels and will work both independently and with other members of the Legal, Contracts and Compliance Department staff on a variety of interesting international trade compliance matters. This role requires successful management of a broad range of responsibilities in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited nationally recognized university
required (emphasis on International Trade Management, International Business,
MBA or Law a plus). GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred At least
10 years of high level of competency of export regulations, including EAR
and ITAR jurisdiction/classification, ITAR compliance and export license
preparation experience, with progressively more complex responsibilities.
Experience in government contracting, software, and/or Defense and Aerospace
Industry a plus Excellent drafting skills; demonstrated experience administering
agreements and/or contracts a plus Computer literacy, including competency
with DTRADE on-line licensing system and Microsoft Office suite applications
(Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required. Exceptionally strong administrative
and organizational skills Ability and willingness to occasionally travel
domestically and internationally Must have a strong work ethic and a desire
to consistently perform at the highest levels of competence Superb interpersonal,
communication, writing, and editing skills and the ability to learn quickly,
work in a team environment with minimal supervision, manage/prioritize
multiple tasks, and lead complex projects Ability to effectively organize
and manage multiple assignments simultaneously with a minimum amount of
supervision A team player with an open, mature and positive personality
who is willing to share and communicate information effectiv
