Goodrich ISR Systems has over 50 years of experience in designing, building and testing exceptionally high quality optics and electro-optical systems. This position will have responsibility for Export/Import compliance related activities. Additionally, this position will fulfill the role of Empowered Official.
Responsibilities:
Export/Import ITAR compliance related activities including EJ&CDP
Preparation of Dept of State license applications
Conduct Export/Import Training activities
Coordinate Export/Import related Database activities
Support Contract activities
Travel Required: less than 10%
Associates degree in Business, Law, Engineering or related. Bachelors degree preferred.
It is desirable for the candidate to have a background in exporting and importing, especially in regards to ITAR items. The candidate would benefit from a legal background, but an engineer, or business administrator would also be a good candidate.
The candidate would have to be computer systems smart, since this position employs many different database systems on many different platforms, including Oracle, SAP, Sharepoint and Livelink, and to be prepared to adapt to various non-standard USG computer interfaces and systems.
The Candidate should be extremely Microsoft/Adobe Acrobat smart, especially in the area of EXCEL. The candidate should be able to create clear written descriptions of business activities.
The candidate should also be familiar with the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS). A Customs Broker License would be a plus. It is also desirable for the candidate to understand government contracting and the ISR type business model.
Training requirements for an Export Control Coordinator are a subset of those for an Empowered Official.
Training requirements for becoming, and maintaining status as an ITAR Empowered Official are established by the Goodrich International Trade Office. Sharepoint training is not mandatory, but would be beneficial. Training in SAP and GTS , and ISR Danbury business operations and practices would also be very important.
Familiarity with U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
Candidate must currently be or have held the responsibility of Empowered Official.
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
