Job Summary Statement:
The School of Dentistry seeks an individual with strong interpersonal skills to serve as its Facilities Administrator. The successful candidate will have many varied responsibilities including: Project Management; Facilities Functions and Allied Support; and Miscellaneous Functions. As part of Project Management responsibilities, the employee will carry out all duties related to selected renovation/construction projects, maintenance, and reconfiguration plans in the School. As part of the Facilities Functions and Allied Support, the employee will be responsible for managing multiple telephone systems; serve as support for School's Space Management and House Keeping services; oversee School's equipment management and maintain the key and locker databases. As part of the Miscellaneous Functions, the employee will work with Campus Environmental Health and Safety and other Campus resources on a variety of issues; handle issues related to the School/CHS building; troubleshooting a variety of issues and providing back up support functions as needed.

Ability to plan, organize, and set priorities involving multiple requests for assistance, diverse activities, complex tasks and projects with frequent interruptions and a fluctuating workload.

Ability to analyze situations, identify problems and concerns, and propose and implement solutions and alternatives.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, follow through on assignments and projects, exercise initiative, and problem solve.

Working knowledge of computers and various software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and ability to learn other computer software systems as needed.

Ability to lift 50 lb. and move office furniture and equipment.
