Job Summary Statement:
The School of Dentistry seeks an individual with strong interpersonal skills to serve as its Facilities Administrator. The successful candidate will have many varied responsibilities including: Project Management; Facilities Functions and Allied Support; and Miscellaneous Functions. As part of Project Management responsibilities, the employee will carry out all duties related to selected renovation/construction projects, maintenance, and reconfiguration plans in the School. As part of the Facilities Functions and Allied Support, the employee will be responsible for managing multiple telephone systems; serve as support for School's Space Management and House Keeping services; oversee School's equipment management and maintain the key and locker databases. As part of the Miscellaneous Functions, the employee will work with Campus Environmental Health and Safety and other Campus resources on a variety of issues; handle issues related to the School/CHS building; troubleshooting a variety of issues and providing back up support functions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Ability to plan, organize, and set priorities involving multiple requests for assistance, diverse activities, complex tasks and projects with frequent interruptions and a fluctuating workload.
Ability to analyze situations, identify problems and concerns, and propose and implement solutions and alternatives.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, follow through on assignments and projects, exercise initiative, and problem solve.
Working knowledge of computers and various software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and ability to learn other computer software systems as needed.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, and students, and Campus resources.
Ability to write and communicate effectively using proper grammar and vocabulary.
Ability to identify, address, and resolve a wide variety of administrative issues and problems.
Ability to analyze requests for projects, facilities services, telecommunication needs, etc. to determine feasibility of same.
Ability to assess physical condition of School's resources and facilities, and make recommendations as to repairs or replacement.
Ability to analyze tasks, identify, and resolve recurrent problems and develop/recommend alternate solutions to deal with issues and problems.
Ability to coordinate a variety of tasks, data, and events in a systematic and efficient manner.
Ability to lift 50 lb. and move office furniture and equipment.
Ability to identify appropriate resources, on Campus and externally, to address issues and problems or respond to inquiries.
Ability to work after hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
Basic working knowledge of projectors, microphones, speakers, LCD/plasma displays.
Degree in related field or comparable experience.
