JOB DESCRIPTIONFull Load Container: Export Documentation Clerk:
Verifies data from various sources to maintain department records.
Assists with preparation of export documentation for shipments exported from all U.S. locations. Communicates with customers and freight forwarders regarding shipment status and details. Records and reviews incoming orders from international sales team for tracking purposes and determining orders ready for packing. Assists with ensuring accuracy of pricing and other details on commercial documents. Assists in documentation preparation and/or certificate to expedite process. Handles routine correspondence with related parties involved, on a per shipment basis. Advises Supervisor of any delays, problems and/or question any irregularities discovered within assigned transactions. Determines packaging requirements and builds special crating fixtures and braces. Verifies identification and quantity of products to be shipped.
Typically requires a high school diploma and two or more years of shipping/receiving experience in a corporate environment. Requires a good knowledge of shipping/receiving policies, and practices and techniques for crating and packing materials.
Proficient office computer skills including word processing, e-mail, and Internet software
