Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for coordination of all activities required to maintain compliance with 10 Part CFR 50 Appendix B and NQA-1 Quality Assurance Programs. Additional duties include:

This position requires quality assurance management experience with direct involvement in the Nuclear Power Generation Industry. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential. Additional skills include strong group facilitation skills, the ability to successfully deal with diverse work groups, the ability to solve problems, and a self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision and ability to work overtime as needed. Previous quality management supervisory experience is important. Current level III NDT certifications desired but not required.

Responsibilities and duties include development of project quality program packages and travelers; administer qualification examinations and generate certification packages for inspection personnel; review and approve subcontractor written practice and certification packages; write or approve NDT Procedures; manage internal audits of technical personnel and suppliers; evaluate and analyze processes, noncompliance s, nonconformance s, create effective corrective actions and preventative actions; Perform quality contract reviews, produce work and testing instructions, review and approve test and inspection reports; respond to customer comments with the Management Team; monitor and evaluate personnel capabilities. Manage and administer the quality program elements, optimizing the effectiveness of the Quality Program, while working as a Management Team member.

Job Requirements

Must have ability to gain security clearance for unescorted access to US Nuclear Facilities

Familiarity with ASME Pressure Vessel Code

Prior nuclear QA experience is required (note QA versus QC)

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

Must be fluent in English
