JOB DESCRIPTIONLooking for a dynamic Facilities Engineer to apply engineering principles/practices in the planning, design, construction, installation, and maintenance/repair of equipment.
Must frequently interface with customers. Provides concept development, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and evaluation of alternatives. Preparation and management of quality, cost, and delivery documentation, including specifications, drawings, schedules, reports, and presentations. Execution of shop/field activities, including fabrication, construction, installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair. Review of activities for compliance with contract documents, applicable codes and industry standards, and internal quality, cost, and delivery constraints.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 3-5 years of closely related experience preferred. Prior maintenance and/or project management experience as well as coordinating / supervising the activities of multiple vendors and/or contractors.
Ability to translate mechanical/electrical engineering principles into real-world equipment and construction practices. Preparation of concept, scope, design, procurement, and construction-related documents. Effective analytical, problem solving, presentation, oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and plan work. Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and as a member of a project team. Must demonstrate both self-starter and team-player traits. Ability to manage quality, cost, and delivery aspects of equipment procurement and maintenance/repair activities.
Must be able to establish beneficial internal and external relationships through strong customer service focus. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) software. Proficient with latest version of AutoCAD software. Ability to work overtime and travel as required by projects.
