The Senior Facilities Project Manager will be responsible for delivering facilities projects, starting with feasibility studies to design, construction, and through to commissioning. Projects will range in scope from ground-up new manufacturing and distribution facilities to expansions and renovations. PACCAR facilities include major truck manufacturing sites around the globe, parts distribution centers, product technology development facilities, and various supporting offices and other sites. The objective is to smoothly deliver new facilities to internal customer teams while ensuring optimal cost, schedule, and quality. Beyond project execution, leadership is expected in advancing corporate sustainable design and construction technology.
The successful candidate will achieve results by organizing processes and keeping an analytical approach. High transparency and clear communications will enable exceeding client expectations. Travel approximately 30% - 50% of the time (Local, Domestic & International).
Engage with PACCAR business teams world-wide to identify project needs
Develop conceptual project scopes, budgets, schedules, and designs
Set up project teams and delivery strategies
Propose projects to senior management and secure approvals
Incorporate competitive purchasing strategies to optimize cost
Negotiate contracts, secure internal approvals, place commitments, and maintain project records
Identify and qualify external project participants (design, consulting, contracting, etc.)
Develop strategic partner relationships to enhance future opportunities
Conduct project reviews with senior management
Introduce relevant new technologies, guide design and construction activities and ensure quality
Track and report budget and schedule performance, report project activities weekly
Coordinate move-in activities, close out projects and organize project records
Collaborate with peer executives in operating divisions and corporate support functions.
Assist field-led projects (scope definition, contracts, periodic reviews, etc.) and report progress
Lend construction and project expertise to field-based facility team
Minimum 8 - 10 years as owner s-representative managing construction projects, leading industrial and corporate facility projects of various scopes
Broad technical knowledge in construction, and industrial scale facilities and systems
International project experience and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Experience sourcing services competitively and working with corporate purchasing processes
Financial analytical skills
Collaborative leadership style
High communication skills
Proficiency with technology and project management tools
Bachelor s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management
Advanced degree desired (M.S./ MBA)
Professional registration and project management certification desired
