Facilities Space Planner/Project Manager
Accomplishes project objectives by planning, coordinating, and completing facilities space management project activities.
* Meets with clients to gather project requirements; initiates communication with all relevant project stakeholders to determine scope, timelines, and resources necessary for project completion; creates design development CADD drawings for client approval to proceed.
* Plans project requirements by developing construction drawings and details; prepares scopes of work for construction estimates; and requests estimates from project stakeholders to determine overall project budget. Develops and updates various project spreadsheets, Gantt charts, and power point presentations for production scheduling. Attends periodic project planning meetings.
* Project Execution consists of management and coordination of events leading up to project execution; overseeing and ensuring all trades are executing according to schedule; and managing any unforeseen problems that arise.
* Performing Project Close Out consists of entering all final cost estimates into the CAFM software; securing all financial approvals; ensuring client funds are adequate and transferred by way of execution through various funding vehicles; performing final walk-throughs; transference of completed space back to client; final project closeout in CAFM system.
Skills and Qualifications:
Develops Project Gantt Charts, CADD Proficiency, Creates and Updates Complex Project Spreadsheets, Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills in a diverse group, Project Management, Time Management Proficiency, Meeting Coordination, Client Management, CAFM, Self-Development.
5-10 years experience
Bachelors degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience
Work location Springfield
Knowledge of Archibus a plus
TS/SCI required, CI or FS polygraph a plus. Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
