A board certified/eligible family physician is needed to join four board certified family physicians at the Prairie du Chien Clinic in Prairie du Chien, WI. A fourth family physician s practice will include the full range of family medicine, including obstetrics, and call will be equally shared equally. The Prairie du Chien Clinic opened in September 1999 and is a regional site of Franciscan Skemp Healthcare-Mayo Health System. This full-scope family medicine practice offers the best of a small group setting in a small community with support from a large multispecialty medical group healthcare network. Franciscan Skemp Healthcare, part of Mayo Health System, has more than 200 physicians and associate providers at thirteen clinic offices and three hospitals in the states of WI, MN and IA, serving a primary care population base of 250,000. Its main clinic and medical center are located in La Crosse, WI, 60 miles north of Prairie du Chien. Prairie du Chien s Memorial Hospital, a 49-bed acute-care facility located five blocks from the Prairie du Chien Clinic, is recognized as one of the best rural community hospitals in the nation by the National Rural Health Association. Specialty services include hospice, home health, comprehensive care for the elderly, including an apartment complex and assisted living. There is a 4-bed ICU/CCU, dialysis, cardiac rehab, and an ER staffed by three physicians and onsite CT Scanner.
