JOB DESCRIPTION

Our DeVries Global team is seeking a Beauty & Fashion Account Executive to manage the flow of work and information to the account team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client

* Work with client on tactical programs

* Follow through on approved media strategies and effectively communicate progress, updates and challenges to senior team members and/or clients

* Participate in client meetings and presentations

* Provide basic client counsel

* Oversee maintenance of client product/inventory closet

Media

* Strong media pitching skills with a successful track record of securing quality coverage for client year-round, especially in times of no news

* Develop press materials including press releases, fact sheets, bios, FAQs, etc.

* Proactively ideate creative story ideas and new, relevant pitch angles

* Understand fashion and beauty/salon industry issues that directly and indirectly affect the client

* Understand clients media objectives/priorities, identify and pitch appropriate outlets

* Confidently counsel clients and provide feedback in a timely fashion

* Manage event logistics and external vendors (e.g., satellite media tours, desk side briefings, editor events, etc.)

* Has base knowledge of social media and cultural trends, brand activity and relationship to PR

Writing

* Develop proposals, releases, customer profiles, and other press materials

* Create client-facing documents

* Ability to express luxury brand messaging tone and voice in written and visual materials

* Compose basic media plans and contribute to the plan development process

* Draft program recaps and reports

Team Participation

* Serve as a role model and mentor to junior team members

* Balance workload between projects and account staff to ensure that all work is accurate and completed within established deadlines

* Communicate frequently and appropriately with manager

* Delegate work to interns, account coordinators and junior account executives as needed

* Diligently review work of interns, account coordinators and junior account executives

Administrative Support

* Code, track and approve invoices and coordinate with the Accounting Department

* Assist in account budgeting recommendations

* Perform other administrative tasks as assigned



Education

Bachelors Degree



Professional Experience

* 2 - 4 years related PR and social media professional experience

* Proven strong media skills with relevant beauty, fashion and accessories media contacts

* Familiarity with relevant beauty/fashion influencers required

Success Factors

* Passion for the beauty, luxury, fashion and retail industry (salon industry experience nice-to-have)

* Strong oral and written business communication skills

* Demonstrates potential to lead projects and interact with clients
