Job Description

Field Operations Communications Specialist

Work Location: 901 S George Washington Blvd. Wichita, KS 67211
Reports to: Field Operations Director


Job Description:
Responsible for building and maintaining communication channels for a 700 person field service organization with for distinct functions within the organization.

1.Reviewing Cox communication channels and composing and redistributing communications to the Central Region Field Service organization.

2.Creates various communications tools, including printed publications, intranet communications, employee meetings and events, videos, and announcements that fosters open communication throughout the organization

3.Provides supervisors and other managers with appropriate messages, tools and training to help them be effective communicators.

4.Implements improvement strategies for internal employee communications.

5.Assists with programs that improve employees' competitive understanding and readiness.

6.Maintains information on myAxis, myHR and various social media vehicles for the employee audience.

7.Coordinates employee incentives, contests, ticket distributions, contests and other engagement activities.

8.Work closely with Public Relations, Marketing, Customer Care and other boundary partners to create consistent messaging.

9.Creating and administering surveys or other forms of feedback to solicit information helpful to improve the tools within our group and how to better serve our customers.

10.Develops and maintains up to date content for web-based knowledge center that motivate and informs users and decision makers. Broadcast updates and links via e-mail if appropriate

11.Creates and maintains content knowledge center using computerized tools such as FrontPage, PhotoShop, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, ASP, Metatags, Dreamweaver or SharePoint

12.Attending meetings with other departments on a regular basis to stay abreast of any changes or new information needing to be filtered and shared.

13.Partner with the internal user communications community to analyze existing communication solutions.

14.Answers employees' questions concerning products, services, and information retrieval in a helpdesk environment

15.Identify areas of opportunity to drive more consistent and pertinent communications to our frontline employees continuously looking for areas of process improvement and guide the business

16.Perform administrative activities on field services web service, as well as other communications tools as needed.

17.Works closely with end users and corporate partners to ensure that any and all communication needs are being met

18.Assist in managing Field service applications

19.Performs basic tasks and functions for professional field of work; Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly-defined problems
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma, GED, or relevant experience
Minimum of 1 year of communications experience
Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products and services

Preferred Qualifications
BS/BA or Associates degree in related discipline preferred
Experience using communication tools such as web base, publisher, etc.
