SUMMARY- Compiles payroll data to maintain payroll records by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Attends work on a regular and predictable basis.
Receive time sheets biweekly for all non-exempt staff in region/business, reviews and make corrections. Input data into Excel spreadsheet and e-mail to Corporate Payroll.
Process all PST's and W-4's for new hires, making sure proper paperwork has been completed along with drug test, background checks and drivers record checks, and physical (for drivers).
Forward all benefits paperwork to the Benefits Department.
Maintain all personnel files.
Fill out Termination Report for exiting employees, calculating hours due, determining termination code, and instructing corporate payroll specialist where and how to mail final check. Determine if most current payroll check prepared for employee needs to be voided or given to employee.
Maintain all terminated employees files in locked file cabinet.
Process all changes in address, name or transfers
Process W-4 changes.
Process all promotions and payroll increases.
Acts as liaison for payroll and benefits.
Keep records of employees on Salary Continuation, preparing PST for Benefits Department and Payroll Department, and putting them on inactive status. Complete PST when employee returns from Leave.
Insures that all Federal and State payroll requirements are followed.
Performs various administrative work for management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE- High School Graduate or GED.
