The Field Representative is responsible for recruiting qualified students for Santa Fe University of Art and Design degree programs, implementing all of the recruitment efforts within a specified territory (primarily local and regional) and consistently following up with the leads generated in order to drive enrollment for the programs. This position is also responsible for managing prospects from lead to start and meeting enrollment projections for the programs.
The successful candidate will have a thorough and first-hand understanding of the educational and professional development needs of students interested in preparing for and pursuing careers in creative fields as well as familiarity with the rapidly changing dynamics and needs of the creative, art, design and entertainment industries. The Field Representative will be the primary representative for Santa Fe University of Art & Design to high schools, community colleges, professional firms and other related businesses, as well as key associations and industry stakeholders. In that role, the Field Representative must have truly exceptional presentation, communication and organizational skills, as well as an obvious and infectious passion for higher education.
This is a remote position covering South Texas Houston, San Antonio and Austin. Candidate is required to reside within the South Texas region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, establish and maintain key relationships with high schools and other assigned organizations
Participate in onsite enrollment activities such as open houses and guided tours
Generate and work qualified leads
Attend local conferences and events, and participate in relevant student-oriented activities in local communities
Meet and exceed performance standards including lead generation and enrollment goals
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
Work well with other departments and able to handle a fast paced environment
Provide important feedback to management to ensure future success
Assist with mentoring and training as needed
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required.
Previous sales, marketing or admissions experience with demonstrated success selling into educational associations and organizations is highly desirable.
Must have truly exceptional presentation skills, and must be capable of delivering persuasive and presentations to both small and large groups.
Must be extremely well-organized and attentive to detail.
The successful candidate will work well under pressure and will be eager to succeed in a competitive, results-oriented environment.
Significant regional travel (50% or greater) is required.
Ability to work independently and to self-direct his/her daily activities is essential.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as is facility with technology and mediated communication.
Flexible schedule, with ability to work some Saturdays and evenings.
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Comfortable with heavy computer and phone use.
