Job Description
Field Service Demand Planner and Buyer position to analyze demands and procure material using SAP and other informational software. Will work with Engineering and Sales to determine future requirements for Service Technical Bulletins worldwide, as well as internal and external suppliers as the procurement agent for VMS. Focused execution of Supplier Performance using Lean principles to develop, maintain and manage partnerships, metrics and reporting requirements between key suppliers and VMS operations. This person will utilize analytical skills and software tools to determine the needs for purchase orders and rescheduling deliveries. Coordinates the execution of internal and external procurement of the Master Schedule and forecast, and monitors inventory levels to determine component availability in support of the customer support services plans. Fulfills Quality System requirements as described within the Quality Manual. Proposes and documents process improvements as needed. 1. Develop and maintain Supplier Performance through Lean principles. Includes supplier analysis, supplier/manufacturing collaboration, and Supplier Agreements and Audit process. Initiate quality & reliability for existing key suppliers and develop supplier performance goals for New Product introductions. 2. Create STO s and purchase orders to support the service plan and forecast. Maintain status and accurate delivery schedules on all open orders. 3. Purchase standard manufacturing components from established vendors for assigned product responsibilities. Ensure materials purchased will be done on a timely basis and all business transactions are conducted within VMS ethical standards. Coordinate requirements planning for outside services to meet, both production schedules and inventory objectives. 4. Obtain necessary signature authorizations prior to placing purchase order with suppliers and conform to department and company procedures. 5. Review BOMs for accuracy and availability for existing and new materials. Participate in pre-release planning. Maintain master data and demand requirements in planning software. 6. Support and monitor inventory objectives as they relate to assigned product responsibilities. 7. Determine inventory disposition and plan implementation so as to minimize obsolescence. 8. Coordinate procurement forecast and delivery schedules between suppliers, inter company factories, warehouse and field service requirements. 9. Analyze forecasts and Master Production Schedule to identify long-range material and capacity issues. 10. Assist Supervisor and Materials Manager in developing and implementing outsourcing and materials management systems and procedures. Other Job Functions: 1. Provide input and coordination to Service Order Processing as needed. 2. Report on status for inventory and availability. 3. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
Familiar with ERP/MRP and production or service environment. Working understanding of contractual terms and conditions, purchasing law, and supply chain concepts. Ability to read and understand financial statements. Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Typical Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years of related experience or Masters Degree with 3 years of related experience.
