Job Description


Responsible for driving a systematic route of the physical plant and reporting results in support of CLI (Cumulative Leakage Index) compliance. This may include implementing minor, on-the-spot adjustments and repairs. All other duties listed for BB Tech I position as shown below.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

* Performs new connects, reconnects, disconnects, upgrades, downgrades and change-of-service
* Installs and relocates outlets
* Installs or removes converters and cable modems
* Installs interior and exterior wiring
* Connects peripheral equipment
* Trains customers on proper use of equipment
* Monitors, repairs and records system, drop, and in-house leakage
* Assures proper signal levels and picture quality
* Identifies causes of picture and/or signal degradation
* Troubleshoots from consumer device to tap
* Troubleshoots, repairs and replaces components from tap to consumer device
* Addresses billing and/or payment questions while on customer premises
* Assures system security by terminating unused ports and tag drops and locking pedestals
* Takes voltage measurements
* Understands/applies FCC and NESC technical standards
* Identifies and reports all incidents of noncompliance (FCC, NESC, OSHA and WOW standards)

* Provides superior customer service
* Completes all tasks to Company's quality and safety standards
* Maintains professional appearance and behavior at all times and represents the Company in a professional manner to customers, associates and all other outsiders

* Maintains excellent attendance

* Complies with motor vehicle and related policies including equipment & tool inventory, vehicle security and vehicle maintenance
* Plans and directs all CLI monitoring, control, and reduction practices
* Reports and files information to FCC

* Trains other employees as directed
