Field Service Technician 4

DUTIES: Develop, test, calibrate, operate, maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, electrohydraulic, and electronic measuring and recording instruments, apparatus, and equipment such as capital medical equipment. Service MR (Magnetic Resonance) and nuclear diagnostic imaging equipment at customer sites. Utilize complex calibration tools and service test equipment including network analyzers to perform routine service, modifications and preventative maintenance. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers. Lead complex equipment installation, trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls. Lead complex product and service training for customers. Guide complex maintenance on tools and test equipment, and complete documents of all installations, inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures. Lead complex service or systems calls and interfaces with customer personnel to provide quality service and feedback on problem evaluation and resolution. Guide assessment of the most complex installation and service of product/equipment performance based on field support data and design modifications or improvements.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field (or foreign degree equivalent) and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. Prior experience must include testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment. Prior experience must include MR (Magnetic Resonance) and Nuclear diagnostic imaging products. Prior experience must also include utilizing complex calibration tools and service test equipment including network analyzers. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. 20% domestic travel required.
