Job Description for Advertising Purposes
The Financial Analyst role provides business support and financial analysis to the PTC Sales Organization. This role supports North America which involves interfacing with management and international business units, with responsibility for the following activities, further described hereunder: Budgeting, Forecasting & Variance Analysis, Expense Control; Reporting; Ad Hoc Analysis

Organization Responsibilities
*Budgeting: Participate in the yearly budgeting process following Corporate calendar and procedures; support Sales budgeting process
*Forecasting: Provide FP&A with accurate forecast each month; update Planning & Reporting Tool; liaise extensively with the field contacts
*Variances Analysis: For each fiscal month close process, analyze variances between actual and forecasted/budgeted numbers. Communicate with functional business managers and finance colleagues regarding significant variances from budget/forecast. Liaise extensively with accounting team.
*Expense Control: Identify and actively help functional management control expense levers as appropriate, e.g. headcount, POs, travel policies, accruals, etc.
*Reporting: Develop and communicate to functional management monthly and quarterly reporting packages.
*Ad Hoc Analysis: Assist and complete projects as necessary.

Preferred Requirements
*Experience in supporting a revenue generating organization

Basic Qualifications:
*Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business or Economics
*3-5 years of professional work experience
*Advanced Microsoft Office skills high focus on Excel

*Familiar with accounting principles and reporting
*Creates budgets & forecasts following recognized guidelines; understands and applies financial techniques to track actual costs against budgeted & forecasted costs
