JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

Direct financial activities of the organization by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

*

Understand and be able to troubleshoot accounting issues by partnering with, HQ, members of the sales, operations, project management, and pricing departments.
*

Manage a streamlined customer billing processes including revenue recognition policies.
*

Direct the maintenance of accounts payable, fixed asset and operating expense ledgers.
*

Responsible for account reconciliations and month end journal entries.
*

Compile and process payroll data such as wage adjustments, commission's payable, and other records on an as needed basis.
*

Compile and process monthly sales and use taxreports.
*

Keep current on new technology and financial trends.
*

Develop and maintain internal and system controls.
*

Work with Customer Service Representatives and Sales Representatives in responding to customer inquiries, developing efficient document exchanges and pricing matrixes.
*

Assist in preparation of year end reports including property taxreports, annual capital budgets and forecasting.
*

Assist with special projects as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervise employees in the Customer Billing and Accounts Payable area. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. 5-7years related experiencerequired. CPA designation preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Must be able to write simple correspondence and/or routine reports. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to groups of customers, managers, clients, employees of the organization, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference as well as apply concepts such as percentages, fractions, ratios, and proportions in practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Must be familiar with general accounting software, database software, payroll systems, and word processing software. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
