Job Summary
As a member of the team, you will play a critical role on the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team and will be responsible for managing key elements of the monthly and quarterly close/forecast process, providing visibility into our financial performance and delivering actionable insight to executive management. You will also be responsible for managing components of our long-term and short-term financial plans, monthly forecasting & reporting and enabling our leaders to make high quality strategic decisions. This position requires someone with a strong analytical mindset and has the potential to influence the evolution of how NetApp looks at the business. This individual will incorporate industry, geographic, technology, and historical trends to analyze and forecast.

Essential Functions:
Corporate Reporting & Analysis
Support the external reporting process through various ad hoc analyses as needed by the Investor Relations and External Reporting teams
Support external industry analyst reporting requirements and educate worldwide users on the logic
Develop insightful metrics and dashboards that reveal business trends and enhance business intelligence
Find ways to balance the creation of additional information with the simplicity of focus on a few key areas
Assist in the creation of the new package/analysis for worldwide Finance as needed when business changes
Educate other analysts and management in the process, logic, and drivers of the business review schedules
Drive the financial close process through ownership of the monthly business review package and oversee the accuracy/consistency across the schedules
Build cross-functional partnerships with a goal towards triangulating sales growth incorporating Field, Product, Marketing, Strategy and Corporate perspectives
Assess impact of strategic initiatives on the bookings forecast and long term business model
Analytics / Modeling
Perform ad-hoc analysis of financials as needs arise (product, P&L, etc.)
Leverage industry, geographic, technology, and historical trends to forecast future sales
Provide business decision support through the ability to model various financial scenarios
Assist other analysts and end users in their ability to create relevant financial models

Job Requirements
Ability to work in a cross functional capacity, bring forth ideas, and influence change
Strong financial modeling and analysis skills with ability to synthesize complex data and/or analysis into information tailored for a business audience
Detail oriented with the ability to summarize detailed analysis into key messages for management
Demonstrated understanding of various financial systems, architectures, and interdependencies
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access, SQL
Understanding of accounting, corporate policy, and operational process flows

Education and Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience is required. 7 to 9 years of experience is preferred
Minimum of a BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or Business Related Degree.
Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects
Demonstrated track record of process improvement and simplification and intellectual curiosity with a continuous desire to learn and grow
