Financial Analyst

Superior Technical Resources is looking for a Financial Analyst to provide overall financial and accounting support for our local North Austin Client.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Support Production Finance team in developing budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans
Prepare presentations on annual operating plan, forecasts and franchise planning
Work closely with Finance and Production to improve forecast accuracy.
Respond to questions on variances to forecasts and any general financial trends
Provide decision support for production executive management. Develop executive dashboards and key performance indicators
Provide monthly finance update to studio leadership to help support local decision making and to encourage fiscal responsibility
Work with controllership to ensure accurate accounting of internal and external studio expenses. Coordinate resolution of accounting related issues and questions
Process all accounts payable transactions for the studio. Serve as the primary billing contact for vendors, ensuring timely payment and strong relationships
Coordinate contract requests for the studio to ensure fair and accurate agreements. Proactively engage production team to ensure sufficient lead-time for legal department
Track and maximize applicable state tax credits offered to the studio
Partner with other groups within the Finance team to streamline and improve financial processes

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 3 years work experience in finance or accounting

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Strong systems orientation and PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint and SAP)
Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles
Record of strong academic and professional achievement
Previous work experience in consumer products / consulting / video game industry
Highly skilled in Excel financial modeling and forecasting
Strong analytical/project management skills, capable of managing an array of initiatives from project initiation through final presentation.
High-energy, self-motivated with a desire to excel in demanding, entrepreneurial environment.
Superior written and verbal presentation skills
Strong interest in video games
