Job Description

The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for financial reporting and providing analytical support to the Business Unit. This job is focused on systems data extraction, financial reporting, and a high level of creativity by using HLookups, VLookups, Pivot Tables, and macros. Position will assist the Plant Controller with forecasting and completing the annual operating plan. Position will also play a critical role in implementing policies and procedures and auditing business cycles to ensure GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley compliance for the Business Unit. Other tasks include: Providing analytical support and research necessary to support the Business Unit and Corporate reporting requirements; Preparing weekly and monthly forecasts, analyzing trends in manufacturing, sales, and loading monthly forecast data in forecasting module; Partnering with Operations team to identify cost saving initiatives that reduce costs; Conducting weekly Variable Cost Spending Meetings with Operations team; Working closely with Plant Controller in developing and loading annual operating plan; Auditing business cycles, identifying control weaknesses, and implements procedures to ensure GAAP and SOX compliance; Applying a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures when completing difficult assignments; Knowledgeable of Lean Manufacturing and often participates on Lean Teams; Ability to lead cross-functional teams and excels in a team-work environment; Assisting with the quarterly and annual physical inventories; Assisting Controller with special projects and other ad hoc requests; Upwardly mobile and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5 - 8 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. Education commensurate with responsibilities. Excel expert. Ability to create charts, graphs, HLookups, VLookups, Pivot Tables, and Macros. Working knowledge of SAP is a requirement! Position requires long periods of sitting and working at a computer.
