Provides analytical and a wide variety of skilled administrative support and services for the Comparative Medicine Program (CMP). The Financial Analyst is responsible for coordinating and completing projects related to financial and business development activities and accurate record maintenance. The Analyst is also responsible for compiling and reporting information as requested by the CMP administrator. This employee should be self-motivated, detail oriented, efficient and be able to multitask. He/She should maintain a high standard of professionalism and have the ability to work well with others.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the completion and management of projects as assigned by CMP Administrator.
Responsible for procurement including tracking of invoices for payment and developing and maintenance of inventory.
Assists in monthly invoicing for the program.
Manages and compile data for routine reports
Assists in the development and management of operational and capital budgets.
Analyzes and assesses present and future needs, trends, challenges, and opportunities related to CMP operations.
Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement and business development.
Fosters a customer focused environment.
Participates in, and may direct, problem definition and resolution activities.
Handle sensitive communications and reports with a high degree of discretion.
Demonstrates the components of the ICARE values statement.
Demonstrates Service Pride Standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
BBA, BS or BA with a major in Accounting, or related degree is required.
Requires three to five years financial analysis experience in research program finance/operations, health care, insurance and/or business industry
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Professional handling of exposure to confidential/sensitive information.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze and manipulate data and financial reports to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the organization.
Ability to work under pressure and balance many competing priorities.
Proficient in spreadsheet, word-processing, and presentation software.
Demonstrates effective communication skills.
Maintains a positive and supportive attitude and demeanor.
