Working with centralized Corporate departments for purchasing and accounts payable, employee expense reimbursements, payroll and benefits, and risk management. Essential Duties of Position: Work with Centralized Accounting Team and Finance Director to complete the month-end financial close process resulting in the preparation and distribution of accrual based financial statements that are accurate, complete and in accordance with GAAP. Prepare appropriate journal entries and assist with reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Prepare financial board report and variance analysis. Review monthly financial statements with Division Chairs, Vice Chairs, and Managers. Work with Finance Directors, Division Chairs and Vice Chairs to complete the annual budget, forecast of current year results, and quarterly 5-year long-range plan forecasts. Financial analysis projects and pro-formas as needed related to EPE Division's strategic plans, operations, profitability, and financial statements. Prepare monthly internal management reports including Dashboards, KPI reports, units of service reports, and Community Benefit Reporting. Maintain a high level of customer service to EPE physicians, directors, managers and staff, and external clients. Complete review and processing of employee and physician expense reimbursements and CME tracking. Assist with completion annual 990 tax return. Complete sales and use tax reporting and annual MGMA surveys. Assist with annual internal and external audit of financial statements including preparation of audit schedules and providing detail for required testing. Assist with establishing and maintaining proper financial internal controls. Implement new financial systems and reporting tools as needed. Customer Service & Interpersonal Skills and Abilities: Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions Ability to identify, analyze and resolve accounting and financial issues Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks and projects accurately and on-time Ability to identify and execute improvement opportunities Ability to communicate in an effective, professional and appropriate manner Ability to interact with senior management and EPE leadership Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Ability to handle/manage stressful situations Ability to maintain the strictest of confidentiality Requirements Education and/or Licensing Requirements: Bachelors degree in accounting required. Prefer masters degree in business administration, accounting, health care finance, or equivalent work experience. Experience Required for the Position: 4-6+ years experience in accounting. Prefer 4-6+ years of accounting experience with a large physician practice organization. Public accounting experience preferred.
