Position Details:
Position: Financial Analyst
Location: Pennington, NJ
Pay: $19.00 per hr
Shifts: M-F 9-5 until Jan 2 - Mar 15 where overtime may be required.
Length: 4 month contract possible ext

The Tax Reporting Services Department is responsible for approximately 3 million tax report statements for Merrill Lynch and Bank of America clients. They partner closely with systems and print facilities to meet deadlines. The Tax Reporting Department is responsible for consolidating 1099 statements.
The reason for the positions are due to seasonal high volume during annual tax season. Those hired for the contract assignment will work closely together as a team and with management to complete the following responsibilities:

*Individual will support monthly processing, testing and production of year end (1099) tax statements

*Responsibilities include 1099 income validation utilizing spreadsheets from an outside vendor against our monthly statement database,

*Reconciling cost basis against all monthly sales/trades

*Reconciling interest rates or foreign tax rates against a spreadsheet forwarded from our Corporate Actions team

*Audit client statements

Looking for someone who is EAGER TO LEARN, MOTIVATED, and TRAINABLE, as individuals brought on to the assignment will be trained to complete the aforementioned responsibilities. SOMEONE WHO TAKES INITIATIVE and is eager to get their foot in the door is an excellent candidate. Individuals with tax/accounting/reconciliation/book keeping background is preferred, but extensive background isn?t necessarily required as training and coaching will be provided. Candidates should have an extreme ATTENTION TO DETAIL as they will be validating a large volume of data in spreadsheets (Excel knowledge required). Candidates should posses ANALYTICAL SKILLS. Candidates must be a TEAM PLAYER as the majority of the assignment will be spent working with the group collectively to meet deadlines.
1. HS Diploma
2. Requires excellent analytical/reconciliation
3. Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
4. Candidate must be highly motivated and organized
5. Have the ability to multi-task and meet various deadlines
6. Work independently as well as within a team - Take initiative
7. Weekend/Overtime is REQUIRED when necessary and typically mandatory from January 2nd through March 15th (Candidates should be fully committed to assignment during tax season).
Desired or preferred:
? College degree preferred
? Advanced MS Word/Excel skills (pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.)
