Job Summary
As a Financial Engineer, you will provide financial consultation services across NetApp s 100 most strategically-significant global accounts (G100.) Example service may include pricing support, refining deal business cases (ROI, TOC), deal qualification, solution development, and deal approvals. In this highly specialized Sales role, you must be extremely results-driven, be comfortable operating in ambiguity, and possess a singular focus on accelerating NetApp s revenue potential and maximizing profitability.

Essential Functions:
Provide special pricing support, including deal consulting, qualification, solution development and approval
Analyze competitive pricing and profitability dynamics for all large volume sales opportunities
Assist in the development and implementation of margin improvement initiatives
Collaborate with Field Sales, Service, Marketing, Finance and Operations staff in order to ensure completeness and consistency of proposals
Manage / drive business unit pricing approvals and escalations
Produces moderately to highly complex pricing deliverables, analyses and reports to multiple solution offering combinations, making recommendations and/or decisions for common approaches
Drives / supports continuous pricing process refinement and improvement by applying a solid understanding of internal business processes and policies
Understands complex business issues and makes appropriate recommendations by applying intermediate subject matter expertise

Job Requirements

Advanced communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation). Mastery in English and local language as well as other languages as required
Excellent listening skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Understanding of financial and accounting concepts
Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn; Must be a self-starter able to work independently based on direction from manager
Ability to develop account and industry/market knowledge
Solid understanding of internal business processes and policies

Responsibility and Interaction:

o This position is responsible for managing many tasks for multiple large groups, a department or departments, or a function within a country or global geographic area.
o The focus of this role is on creating and influencing strategy and policy.
o The potential impact of decisions made by this individual has significant operational or financial impact.
o This individual will apply in-depth knowledge to solve broad issues that are complex in scope, and establish medium to long- range plans.

o This individual must work effectively with Staff to Senior Vice President level employees and employees within and outside of their function and organization.
o Utilizes people skills and available people manager tools to critically impact the growth of an individual within the company and career.
o This individual must demonstrate favorable results through providing leadership to the function.

Education and Experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience is required.
A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree required; a focus in Business is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
Knowledge of storage technology industry and market preferred
