BUSINESS UNIT/FUNCTION OVERVIEW

As part of the Finance function, the FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS (FP&A) team conducts the financial and accounting operations of Johnson Controls. The North America FP&A team is located in Boca Raton, Florida. The North America Integrated Sales and Services FP&A team is a functional group supporting all facets of JCIs North America Businesses, which are responsible for $4B in revenue annually. The team is responsible for reporting and analysis for everything from Sales Productivity to Operational efficiency to Cash conversion. We serve as important business partners to Operational Leaders with tactical decisions as they drive the business and as the eyes and ears of Executive leadership, providing insightful analysis for them to make their strategic decisions.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Distribution of standard reports.

Assist with building Operational reviews.

Ad Hoc requests that will involve data manipulation in Excel and Access.

Special Projects.

Education

Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Completed sophomore year working towards a BS or completed first year of an MS degree.

Qualified majors: ACCOUNTING (PREFERRED) OR FINANCE.



Experience

Previous business internship/co-op experiences with strong business acumen beneficial (preferable not required)

Demonstrated leadership experience.



Skills

STRONG MICROSOFT EXCEL SPREADSHEET PROFICIENCY.

Strong analytical thinking skills and ability to solve programs.

Detail oriented with ability to learn quickly.

Strong written & verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams with minimum guidance.



Availability:

ASSIGNMENT STARTS JUNE 2017, must be able to start within this timing.
