Description
SGS International is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team at the company s headquarters in Louisville, KY, reporting to the Manager of Financial Analysis. The position requires knowledge of both Finance and Accounting principles, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; specifically, Microsoft Excel.

This position will assist the Finance team in the research, analysis and presentation of data to help the company make well informed, fact-based decisions. This role will interact with a cross-functional team covering sales and corporate finance. The incumbent will display effective planning and organizational skills, be results oriented, and possess the ability to competently manage multiple priorities.

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities
*Primarily responsible for reporting analytics and synthesizing data from multiple disparate systems into coherent, actionable reports
*Proactively work with Sales Leadership to drive revenue optimization and gap analysis
*Understand business needs and translate them into effective solutions and meaningful data analysis
*Maintain effective working relationships with various teams including Finance, IT, Sales, and Operations
*Support cross-functional teams on special projects, analyses and requests as needed
*Assis with implementation of system/process improvements as necessary
*Ad hoc analyses and special finance projects (e.g. integration of acquisitions, IT dashboard creation, etc.) as necessary and directed by management
*Limited travel may occasionally be required (less than 10%)

Competency Requirements
*Strong financial background and demonstrated ability to perform financial analyses and modeling
*Desire to dig into the details and conduct root cause analysis
*Ability to understand and frame complex issues in a consolidated and straightforward manner
*Ability to define problems, collect data from multiple sources, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
*Effectively manage tasks and tight deadlines independently
*Must be a rounded individual capable of interacting with all levels of employees and senior management
*Strong interpersonal skills and ability to convey information concisely in writing and verbally to senior management
*Self-motivated and works independently with minimal supervision
*Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with other reporting systems and tools is a plus. Examples of desired system competencies include Microsoft Access, SQL, Power BI, Adaptive Planning

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
*BA in Finance/Accounting or Business MBA/CPA a plus
*3-5 years of experience in a similar corporate finance role
