Serves as the customers' relationship banker offering an array of products and services including account opening, account servicing, lending, and investment profiling, acts as full financial solutions provider by performing the following duties.


Participates in weekly sales meetings and in-branch promotions to ensure support of current campaigns & alignment to corporate strategy Maintains a customer service culture by focusing on customer needs through more complex customer profiling Opens new accounts including checking, savings, IRA's, CDs and Safe Deposit Boxes Engages business partners to assist customer with specialized products and service needs Handles customer requests for rates, service charges, and account maintenance including debit card issuance Originates loans including consumer, real estate, and small business Participates in the collection process of past due small business loans Calls customers to inform them of maturing CD's and other promotions Completes Small Business Sales Training for outbound weekly sales calls with required number of outbound calls weekly to high potential customers, centers of influence, and prospects Interviews applicant by profiling customer to determine financial needs including investments and loans Must complete and pass annuity license training and testing Performs annuity profiles, Completes annuity sales ensuring that all documentation is thorough and accurate Stays current on changes in services, processes, and procedures Ensures loan agreements and supporting documentation are complete and accurate according to policy Compiles required and special branch reporting as requested Supports procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities to ensure safekeeping Follows Branch Opening and Closing procedures to include setting the signal, locking the vault, setting the alarms, and securing the building Assists Tellers as needed with cash runs and may operate a Teller window Completes branch regulatory compliance through computer-based training modules and other Hancock University efforts/classes Participates in Branch Disaster Recovery Planning including all facets of pre and post-disaster events Provides entry-level FSA training to improve branch/division efficiency and ensure conformance to standard procedures and practices Attends or provides employee training to improve efficiency and ensure conformance to standard procedures and practices Attends meetings conducted by Branch Manager, Cluster Manager, or Division Manager to stay informed Handles in-branch operational customer complaints from inception to resolution providing research and resolution to customer inquiries and issues. Establishes and maintains contact with banking-related industries such as insurance, real estate, and securities Serves as an authorized signer on official checks Demonstrates professionalism to include demeanor, dress, and station orderliness


Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and three to four years related experience and/or training or a combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing using the English language, Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions, Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations Computer Skills Ability to learn or knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint, Ability to learn or knowledge of Outlook email program Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Small Business Lending school, annuity license, compliance modules, and Outbound Sales Training This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. As such, upon active employment you will be required to either register on NMLS or re-register and move your previous registration. Your continued employment in this position is contingent upon successful registration immediately after your start date and annual renewal of your registration thereafter. In addition, information obtained during the registration process may impact your employment.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel such as using a computer mouse or writing, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear in person or on the telephone with other employees, supervisors and in some cases the general public and board of directors.
