Fire & Gas Engineer

The Fire & Gas Discipline Engineer is responsible for providing specific technical expertise. The discipline engineer provides evaluation of project designs against Site Technical Practices (STPs) and provides technical leadership on statements of requirements. The discipline engineer also provides process safety, inherently safe design, and risk management input through Capitol Value Process (CVP) stages, in compliance with Operational Management Systems (OMS) and Control of Work (CoW) requirements. They support development of designs according to the established STPs. They will utilize the existing value improving practices. The discipline engineer is responsible for interfacing with the Engineering Project Management Service (EPMS) engineers and other engineering contractor engineers. br br This position reports directly to the AF&G FMP Team Lead through the project organization. The discipline engineer is accountable for delivering engineering and technical support on a specific project or program and will take direction for those deliverables from the specific project organization. Performance appraisals for this position will also be conducted by the specific project organization as directed by each AGM/PGM. A functional relationship with the Engineering Manager - Core Programs will be maintained regarding process, procedures, and standards to use on the project or program. br br
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology br br

li 5+ years engineering experience within industry. /li li An understanding of oil and gas process. /li li Experience in executing project engineering from Appraise to Execute, Commissioning, Start-Up and Operation. /li li Working knowledge of NFPA 72, International Building Code and International Fire Code /li br br
