FIRE SPRINKLER SERVICES TECHNICIAN

ABOUT THE ROLE

* Receive service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions

* Act as the contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems

* Successfully perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial and residential applications, some include:

* Wet (steel, copper and CPVC)

* Dry

* Pre-Action

* Deluge

* Fire Pumps

* Consistently follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose and repair equipment

* Utilize blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals

* Deliver quality customer service through clear, concise, honest communication

* Effectively communicate with internal staff to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair customer equipment

* Successfully create accurate Customer Service Acknowledgements through proper job coding and service information, communicate that information to the customer and obtain customer signature

* Consistently monitor and maintain adequate inventory to meet daily needs

* All work on a rotating on-call schedule to manage after-hour service calls

WHO WERE LOOKING FOR


* High School Diploma or equivalent required

* Efficient organizational and time management skills

* Accurately follow both written and verbal procedure instructions

* Previous experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry (6 years' a big plus)

* Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes

* Experience in reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals

* Must be able to work in usually tight or unique environments, (i.e., basements, crawl spaces, ducts, attics, on ladders, scaffolds, etc.) and carry up to 70 pounds of equipment

* NICET Level III Certification in Water Based Systems

* Limited overnight travel may be required

* Consistently wear protective gear and follow safety guidelines and procedures to minimize risk

* Must be available to work on a rotating on-call schedule and work some weekends and overtime, as needed, to meet demand for customer needs
