PAE is currently seeking a Fire Systems Tech to support the Antarctic Support Contract and the National Science Foundation s United States Antarctic Program. We have positions for Winfly (August/September), Mainbody (October-February), and Winter (March-September). Winfly positions are made in conjunction with Mainbody seasons. In addition to meeting the job requirements, you need to also meet the physical and travel requirements. Responsibilities: PAE is currently seeking a Fire Systems Technician to support an exciting newmission in support of the National Science Foundation s AntarcticOperations.The Fire Systems Technician:Is responsible for maintenance of fire alarm signaling and fire suppression systems.Accomplishes hands-on fire system/electrical tasks on maintenance andconstruction projects in Antarctica.Completes periodic maintenance on fire systems equipment in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program, NFPA and manufacturer's guidelines as well as coordinates testing, maintenance, and repair activities.May be required to work outside on various job sites inextreme cold weather conditions. Qualifications:Current NICET II Fire Alarm certification (minimum) is required for Technician.Minimum four years of documented experience installing, testing, inspecting, and maintenance of fire protection systems, including fire alarm systems, suppression systems, and fire sprinkler systems is required for Technician.Experience including rough wiring, device/appliance termination, and head end termination is required.Ability to read design drawings and wiring diagrams is required.High School diploma or equivalent is required.
