Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for leading the Campus Transportation department consisting of a team up to 3 Process coordinators and Shuttle Drivers. The Supervisor provides direction to entire team including Associate Supervisors on daily operations and ensures the team is effectively managing the flow of all brands' merchandise in and out of the campus. The Supervisor also works closely with the Manager on long-term planning to identify peak contingency plans, trailer pool needs, and holiday dispatch schedules. Responsibilities: Act as primary point of contact for the Distribution Centers (DCs), Third Party Logistics (3PL), Load Control Center (LCC) and Supervisors Build and enhance relationships with DC staff at all levels Attend weekly DC planning meetings and participate in brand/inbound calls Coordinate the development of weekly optimization strategy among the DCs and LCC, ensuring alignment. Communicate strategy. Partners with line-haul providers, Over-the-Road drivers and 3PL providers to ensure successful execution Plan for all exceptions, including OOW (Out of Wack) picks, major New Flow events, holiday dispatch schedules, Stock Transfer Orders (STO), and new stores. This is accomplished individually or the Supervisor ensures it is accomplished through the CT team.Establish targets for trailer pool and forecast pool requirements and work with line-haul providers to ensure trailer pool requirements are sustained Develop team goals aligned with business vision/operating plan. Support the CT Manager in representing all of NA Transportation to the campus. This includes providing updates, tactical and strategic and educating campus partners. Leverage cost analysis to support decision making. Deliver financial results within budget through root cause analysis and apprioriate corrective action, managing expense (rates, overtime, travel), and leveraging cost optimization opportunities. Utilize pro-active communication channels with key customers/stakeholders that produce desired results and ensure communication from department is clear, concise, and targets the appropriate audience Support Brand-specific initiatives and programs Share relevant industry/market and customer insights with management and team to influence decision-making Define clear accountability for operational performance and measure regularly making required adjustments to ensure team meets customer, technical and operational performance standards Provide direction and establish clear priorities to guide operational, reporting, exception management and service performance Develop and utilize appropriate operational and project planning tools for pro-active approach Function as escalation point for operational/project-related issues Present analysis of operational issues and solutions in a creative and logical manner Improve efficiency, quality and service by implementing process improvements Lead performance and trend-analysis for targeted measures/milestones and determine solutions to correct under-performance Meet or exceed all customer, technical, dashboard and operational performance/quality standards Assign and delegate operational and project-related responsibilities to direct reports Strengthen employee engagement by creating a collaborative/positive work environment with strong two-way communication (employee & leadership, between shifts, and across departments) that encourages diverse thought Sets and communicates clear expectations for team members regarding performance results and provides operational leadership through direction, coaching, and recognition Lead the staffing/scheduling, selection, on-boarding, and skills training for direct reports Manage performance and development of direct reports through clear goal-s
