Flo-Thru Senior Quality Engineer

Scope/Overview:
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for driving
the internal, Supplier, and Customer quality processes
while leading continuous improvement activities
following Total Quality Management principles. This
position reports to the Director of Supply Chain.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct activities of non-exempt quality staff.
Lead quality initiatives across all business units
driving Best Practices.
Grow the supplier quality system for domestic and
international vendors.
Conduct quality systems audits at supplier sites.
Reduce Internal and External PPM, Scrap, and First
Pass Yield.
Assist in improving customer satisfaction levels via
VOC and data analysis.
Lead, coordinate, and participate in Six Sigma and/or
Lean activities to drive operational and transactional
improvements.
Work in concert with Zurn NPD / VA-VE / Sourcing teams
to complete PPAP requirements at the Supplier
Develop quality requirement process documents to
supplier.
Assist in managing supplier certification process.
Requirements and Qualifications:
BS in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial
Engineering required.
4-6 years of proven experience implementing and/or
improving quality systems.
2-4 years of supplier quality experience.
International experiences a plus.
Cast metals (foundry or machining) or plastics
experience a plus.
ISO/TS 16949, QS9000, or AS9001 experience preferred.
Production Part Approval Process experience.
Lean and/or Six Sigma experience preferred. Green or
Black Belt certification a plus.
Leadership, presentation, project management,
coaching, influencing, and verbal/written communication
skills required.
Self motivated individual able to multi-task
effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
Computer skills including spreadsheet applications,
Microsoft Access, and/or Minitab.
