Sodexo currently has a job opportunity for a Food Operations Manager 1(Temporary Regional Support Role), to join our food services health-care team at Lehigh Valley Hospital a 800 bed acute care trauma hospital located in Allentown, PA. Lehigh Valley hosts many services to include: breast health services, burn care, cancer center, pediatric care, emergency room, and has the region's only Children's ER. In this role, you will be one of the managers responsible for day to day operations of the patient meal services utilizing "At Your Request". This hotel-style room service offering uses a pre-printed bedside restaurant-style menu and a central call center that patients can call to order their meals at any time during the operating hours of the kitchen. This position will have a duration of up to 12 months with the ability to post to permanent roles during this time frame. Responsibilities will include * Oversight of the Patient Services area, patient food service production * Acting as the liaison between the dietitians and nursing staff * Working with the diet office to review and address any patient menu/meal concern. Conducting patient meal rounding and working with hospital dietitians on patient nutritional needs * Employee training for compliance, safety, sanitation, customer service and more * Ensuring timely meal delivery * Some HR functions * Creating a positive environment and successfully motivating and managing your team * Direct supervision of up to 25 non-union Sodexo hourly associates The successful candidate will have at least 1 year food management experience, a strong working knowledge of food safety and sanitation compliance, computer literacy as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. Please note, working schedule will vary as needed so the ability to work the 7:00am-4:00pm or 10:00am-7:00pm is needed with operational needs pm to 10:30pm shift is required for this role.
