: Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Operations Manager 3 to join our food services healthcare team at Hoag Hospital Irvine in Irvine, California. This position will work with Sodexo management and will be responsible for effectively collaborating Sodexo nutrition and food service operations with Hoag Hospital Newport, in Newport, California. Are you the experienced food operations manager were seeking? Job Responsibilities include: * Oversees the patient food service production operations, retail food service, operational effectiveness and project management at this unit. * Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of meals, nourishments, and snacks to patients. * Acts as the liaison between the dietitians, nursing managers and the unit. * Responsible for identifying process improvement initiatives and overseeing the implementation. * Oversees around 30 employees, including managers and supervisors. * Drives Sodexo retail program revenue and ensures that program policies and standards are being upheld. * Ensures that employees demonstrate an active customer hospitality orientation towards both clients and customers. * Creates a positive environment and successfully motivates and leads the food services team. * Integrate fully within our clients organization by becoming a trusted advisor with a customer service focus. * Works to achieve company and client financial targets and goals. * Responsible for driving patient satisfaction results and retail revenues. * Updates financial reporting as well as project reporting on a regular basis. * Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards. * Must meets (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations. If this describes your background, we want to hear from you! * Work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and healthcare experience. * Strong overall operational understanding of food service in a healthcare setting. * A passion for strong communication at all levels of the organization. * Professional verbal and written communication skills. * Strong nutrition background preferred. * A commitment to a high level of customer service. * Excellent computer skills and report management experience, preferably project management experience. * Strong attention to company policy, standards, and regulations. * Knowledgeable in compliance to food safety (HACCP), sanitation and overall workplace safety standards. * Strong understanding of title 22, CMS, FDA food codes and JACHO standards is necessary. * Strong financial acumen and ability to effectively manage high dollar budgets and operational reporting as needed. * Ability to work in a collaborative team environment while fostering strong client and customer relationships. * Able to manage and execute multiple priorities, and manage multiple long-standing projects. Position Summary Assumes General Managers (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Has direct client contact on day-to-day issues. Develops and Implements plans under the direction of a GM 5 or higher. Manages through managers. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
