Sodexo/Jackmont in partnership with the Atlanta public schools seeks a energetic, proven food service leader to support a large multi-unit school food service operation. Experience in K-12 and the national school lunch program management helpful. Successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in managing multiple school food service operations to include strengths in; managing food cost, labor cost, quality production all while providing strong, decisive leadership. The Food Service Manager will oversee the operations of up to (22) locations. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with stellar communication skills and the ability to effectively manage front-line production employees in a dynamic environment. A strong/proven background in food operations management is a must. Areas of responsibility include management of the National School Lunch program, food preparation/presentation, staff training and development, safe food handling practices (including HACCP) and strong customer service skills. Position Summary Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single account/unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
