Sodexo Education - Schools Business Segment is seeking a Food Service Manager to assist with leading a large $18MM metro market K-12 School District account in Springfield, MA! This large urban district serves approximately 29,000 students in 60 school sites which include Elementary, Middle, High, Charter and Alternative Learning schools, plus an Administration Cafe. You will be responsible for the development and management of the entire Food operation including Catering and a Summer Feeding program. You will manage a $18MM Budget including forecasting, monthly operational statements, annual reports and analysis. You will also be responsible for Human Resources support for 300+ Sodexo Unionized employees and 20 Sodexo Managers and support staff. You will lead all daily operations and will work with multiple layers of District and City clients; seeking candidates with strong leadership experience and who excels in Client relations. This is a full year working position. Responsibilities include: * Partner with Food Production Managers for assigned schools day to day operations. * Maintain and develop client relationships, ensure account retention * Fulfill contractual obligations to the client * Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery * Promote and support workplace diversity and initiatives. Spanish as a second language helpful but not required. Must be highly organized with strong financial, technical and communication skills. Previous K-12 management experience preferred. Our desired candidate is self-motivated and dependable with stellar communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Exceptional client relations and team building skills a must! Prior experience and knowledge of NSLP & CEP are critical to the success of this candidate. Position Summary Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
