Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

In this key position you will be responsible for the development of operational forecasts for all business units in Hilton's North American call center operations with a high degree of accuracy. This includes forecasting and analyzing call volume by call type, handle time, distribution, absenteeism, overtime and/or low call volume staffing needs to ensure optimal performance is met at lowest possible cost to the system.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* 2 year college degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics or equivalent) and 2 years professional experience OR 4 years of professional experience in a forecasting and analytical role OR 4 year degree a quantitative discipline
* Must have demonstrated work experience that required organization, prioritization, and ability to multi task several projects at once
* Minimum 1 year working knowledge of common forecasting methods including time series, regression, exponential smoothing, etc. and measure of forecast error such as MAD, MAPE and WMAPE
* Experience utilizing Advanced Microsoft Office Excel features
* Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 4 year college degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics or equivalent)
* 2+ years call center operations experience - preferably in scheduling, or intra-day management
* 6 months experience with demand forecasting and business analysis in a seasonal environment such as an inbound call center, etc.
* Automated forecasting model design, development and implantation using various packages (SAS)
* Working knowledge of forecasting and workforce management software (preferably Aspect)
* Working knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
* Certified Professional Forecaster (CPF) and/or Advanced Certified Professional Forecaster (ACPF)
