The Sales Analyst is a business partner to the Fresh Pork sales team. Primary responsibility is identifying and driving improvement proactively through analysis and process improvement. This role will also assume the Pricing analyst duties which includes pricing for both day to day and out front opportunities.
The Sales Analyst will support our Fresh Pork Sales Team and will be responsible for the following:
Evaluate Fresh Pork Contribution Margin and trends weekly for key categories, communicate gaps to the sales team and make recommendations where necessary
Manage the Fiscal Year Sales Budgeting process - Challenge management team to pursue and achieve aggressive goals
Responsible for facilitating and providing insight for annual product category strategy process
Set SKU level inventory levels on large inventory build items (Baby Back ribs, St. Louis Ribs), pre work and post work including Strategy, pricing and monitoring results vs. target
Maintain pulse on commodity markets by reviewing historical trends, economist news letters, and engaging with the Fresh Pork Sales team
Collaborate with Fresh Pork Sales team to set the daily/weekly price list and communicate changes
Establish Fresh Pork Margin Targets at a product SKU level and hold the team accountable to achieving target
Facilitate Industry benchmarking optimization sessions to identify gaps and work with team to put action plans in place
Facilitate monthly budget reforecasting process
Maintaining and Updating Fresh Sales Margin Improvement Pipeline
Lead Fresh Pork profit and loss weekly review meeting
Serve as primary trainer for new hires on Sales Analytics team
Ability to interpret data and summarize results
Solutions Provider Mindset
Ability to effectively communicate by taking complex results and breaking them down in simple terms
2-3 Years of Analytical experience preferred
