JOB TITLE: Front Desk Agent DEPARTMENT: Front Desk REPORTS TO: Assistant General Manager QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 2 to 3 years of hotel experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent preferred Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language JOB DESCRIPTION: The Front Desk Agent promptly greets and registers guests, assigns rooms, issues keys, and checks out guests. In addition to these primary duties, he or she helps maintain room inventory, answers guest inquiries, provides local dining and entertainment recommendations, provides wake-up calls, and helps ensure facility security. JOB FUNCTIONS: Detail oriented with organizational skills Ability to read and comprehend routine instructions, short correspondence and memos Ability to give high priority to customer service Must maintain a professional appearance and a can-do, positive attitude towards all guests and staff Must be people oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed Be a visible representative of the hotel Come to work in the proper and clean uniform, look professional Always be aware and anticipate the guest needs Ensure that our guest receives prompt, friendly, and personalized service Handles guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and in a friendly and professional manner Assists guests and resolves guest challenges to ensure 100' guest satisfaction Accurately conducts all cash handling and credit card processing activities Accurately, audit, balance and report on all cash and credit transactions including checks, deposits, house charges, promotional materials, postings etc. in the hotel in accordance with established policies and procedures Work as a team member, help service all of our guests Attend all staff meetings and trainings required Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff Understand and be fully versed on hotel standards, procedures and guest confidentiality
