As a Front End Manager with The Fresh Market you will provide overall leadership to the Front End Team to ensure that all objectives and goals of the department and store, in close partnership with the Store Leadership, are met or exceeded. This position has accountability for all aspects of department operations, to include but not limited to, training and development of staff, profitability, expense control, ordering, cash reconciliation, labor management and regulatory compliance. Candidates must be prepared to think, learn, and contribute all while consistently communicating and modeling The Fresh Market's vision and goals. Excellent communication, multitasking and self-motivation skills are essential to success at The Fresh Market. Successful department managers also demonstrate a high level of integrity with department products, employees, vendors, and our customers.

Core Duties
- Demonstrate and direct the Front End Team to provide outstanding customer delight in an environment focused on sales.- Train, develop, counsel, mentor and motivate all Front End employees in a manner which builds and sustains a high performing team and minimizes turnover.- Maximize productivity and efficiency through accurate and timely scheduling following all work rules.- Set and achieve the highest standards in retail execution focusing on maximizing sales and gross profit- Work with Team Members to ensure the highest quality products and service is available.- Demonstrated ability to accurately handle all forms of payment to include, but not limited to, deposits, loans, paid in and paid outs, pick-ups, register reconciliation and safe reconciliation throughout the day. - Demonstrated ability to work with computers and computer based programs, to include but not limited to, ordering, sign creation, inventory and email communication.- Implement and maintain regular sampling in the Front End.- Maintain organization of all work spaces. - Maintain the cleanliness of the department and store through utilizing, assigning tasks and following up on the department cleaning schedule.- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize pricing audits, pricing, ad sign placement and verification to provide a great customer experience.- Follow all company guidelines and procedures, to include but not limited to, safety and sanitation.- Offer daily feedback to the employees of the Front End Department, successes and areas of opportunity.- Establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages an exceptionally high level of Team Member morale. Focusing the employees on creating an environment built on team work and inspiring a 'one team' mentality.- Demonstrated level of empowerment to solve customer complaints and develop employees to do the same.- Demonstrate advanced product knowledge; maintain awareness of new products and educate employees and customers on products.- Demonstrated ability to use and train other employees to use the company POS system and trouble shoot when concerns arise.

Qualifications
The Fresh Market prefers previous management experience in the retail, grocery, deli, hospitality, or restaurant industry. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated excellent communication and leadership skills and possess basic math skills for ordering and inventory. A working knowledge of Front End operations is preferred. The Fresh Market will require demonstrated strong merchandising and multi-tasking skills. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated with a sense of urgency, organized and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment at all times with all levels of employees. The ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department is required. Demonstrated excellent people skills are required for all positions within The Fresh Market.
