Job Description
Responsible for managing the front office operations and associates; including reservations, groups, rate management and guest experience.
Essential Functions:
Hire, train, develop and motivate team members; payroll and scheduling tasks as well as conduct all front office staff appraisals
Scheduling team according to budget guidelines
Assist the General Manager in resolving guest issues
Establish effective front office communication and information systems through logs, department meetings, and coaching and counseling
Set clear standards for associates and communicate all goals and results
Work closely with housekeeping, engineering and the sales departments to ensure all guests requests are handled smoothly
Monitor posting of guest charges and approve all adjustments to minimize lost revenue
Train team and ensure that the proper cash handling policies are in place and being followed
Ensure that proper direct bill and credit card procedures are in place and being followed
Train all team members on hotel standards for guest services
Hold monthly training and staff meetings
Order front office supplies
Maintaining and report problems with front office PMS
Responsible for training associates on PMS systems to include the front desk and reservations
Responsible for training associates on guest safety issues including key card control
