JOB DESCRIPTION

The Full Stack Engineer will work on our suite of products including our web application, core API and 3rd party integration. The role is one of a generalist who likes to build scalable real time systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Work directly on our our platform, building our main web application
* Improve and provide support to our Core API
* Design and implement new 3rd party systems integrations
* Build and decouple new background job processes (distributed background processing)
* Decouple our application allowing for heterogenous servers for Jobs, API, PMS, etc
* Analyse system performance and optimise components of our application
* Design and implement a distributed message queue architecture
* Transition our architecture to micro services
* Try new solutions and build POCs that can be presented to the team

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Java development min 5+ years (or comparable OO Language)
* Web technologies3+ years (HTML5, CSS3 and JS)
* Object Oriented Development for 5+ Years (Java, C++, C#, Ruby, Python)
* Jquery and AngularJS (or similar library) development
* Knowledge in at least one responsive Front-end framework (Foundation, Bootstrap, etc)
* Distributed Systems Architecture / SOA
* Real time systems and messaging
* SQL Database design and development
* Agile software development
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
* A product and customer oriented mind set who sees tech as a tool to solve problems
* Team oriented and Self motivated
* Strong analytical skills both qualitative and quantitative
* Awareness of latest technologies and discipline to know when to use them vs proved solutions
* Passionate about architecture, technology, and operations centric problem solving
* Interest in participating in User Experience analysis and Product Design
