Job Summary: To prepare, cook and present food according to standard recipes in order to create quality food products for our guests. This position is for a Breakfast Cook. early hours Essential Job Tasks: Able to follow and understand direction from the Chef to complete and repeat tasks daily Respond in a prompt and efficient manner to all guest orders and controls presentation consistency and quality of food per DoubleTree standards. Maintains area in a clean and safe condition at all times. Stores all food in refrigerated boxes, including covers, labels and dates, using proper containers to protect against waste and spoilage. Insures proper receiving, storage (including temperature setting) and rotation of food products so as to comply with Health Department regulations. Job Requirements: Must have working knowledge of all kitchen equipment, including but not limited to; ovens, grills, broilers, fryers, steam tables, mixers, knives, slicers, etc. Must have solid knife skills for peeling, dicing, and chopping uniformed fresh fruits Performs general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by Supervisor to adhere to health standards Performs other duties as requested, such as moving supplies and equipment, cleaning up spills, etc. to ensure safe working environment. Must wear uniform. Must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance. Performs any side work as requested. Ability to communicate explicitly in English, both verbal and written with guests and associates. Position requires min 1 year previous Food and Beverage experience. Prior hospitality experience preferred. Must be able to work a flexible shift which includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
